Buckeye Blend's Bio
Quartet Profile
Buckeye Blend has been in existence for 17 years. This quartet specializes in tailgate songs and shows about football and other athletics at the Ohio State University. Using clever and humorous OSU parodies, this quartet has entertained Buckeye coaches, presidents and Buckeye fans in general, at tailgate shows and social events all over Ohio and in one foreign country.[ A short distance up north]. The Quartet’s motto is that “humor cures all woes and enhances the celebration of victory”. You will surely enjoy a somewhat different and very entertaining approach to a very serious subject at this great university. Go Bucks!
Personal Profile
DAVID KINDINGER, Lead-Bass: Dave sings both lead and bass and has at times sung baritone and tenor with the quartet. Dave has been a member of the society for 30 years. He sang with the 1994 international champion, Jokers Wild, and now when he is not tailgatin’ with The Blend, sings with Deja Vu, a later edition of Jokers Wild. He also sings with The Singing Buckeyes, a chapter of the society. He has held multiple positions with this chapter, including many terms as president. He is a past Barbershopper of the Year and is in the Singing Buckeyes Hall of Fame. He is an Elementary School Principal, has been married for 30 years and he and his lovely wife, Pam, have 3 children, Laura, Brian and Julie.
JOHN DUDROW, Bass-Lead: John sings mainly bass with Buckeye blend, but you will see him switch off with Dave occasionally, singing lead. John is single, has been a member in the society for 15 years and sings with The Singing Buckeyes where he has been an officer for many years. He was the 2003 Singing Buckeyes Barbershopper of the Year. He also sings with Class Ring, and formerly sang with Taggin’ Around, both being Johnny Appleseed medalist quartets. John’s profession is a computer specialist.
LIONELL LYLE, Baritone: Lionell is a retired Engineering Associate with Lucent Technology. He has been in the society, singing with The Singing Buckeyes, for 26 years and is a 17 year charter member of Buckeye Blend. He has been married to his lovely wife, Kay for 44 years and has a daughter, Melinda, and four grandchildren.
JOHN K. EVERETT, Tenor: John along with Lionell, is a 17 year charter member of Buckeye Blend. He is a 26 year member of the society and The Singing Buckeyes where he has served as an officer, has received the Barbershopper of the Year award and has been the Singing Buckeyes Artistic Show Chairman for 21 years. John has been a practicing attorney in Columbus, Ohio for 35 years. He has been married to his lovely wife, Judy, for 40 years and they have two children, Darci and John Douglas, and two grandchildren.
